I am pretty sure it is post-war, but it is all wool, star is missing on the front, and is a size 58, but fits my 61 head perfect! It is 11" accross the crown.

It might sound odd but right now I keep thinking of a film/TV prop for a programme about the polar exploration ship. No evidence though - I'll ask around.

Did it come with the flanelka that you can see in the first photo?

The donald duck itself is not just post-war, its also post-Soviet - no label on the diamond inside and the size/shape is of a late Soviet period hat.
