Hi Guys, what armband would have been most commonly worn by the SS Medics during the mid/late war period in Europe?
Also where does the sleeve/qualification badge go,left or right arm,how high up etc?
Was there a specific badge/insignia for the M43 caps?

Thanks

Martin

Hi Martin. I did Waffen SS medic a few years ago. They wore a Red Cross armband on the left arm. The medic trade patch is worn just above the cuff title on the tunic. It is a black diamond shape with the outline of a snake wrapped around a staff. No specific insignia was worn in headdress as far as I know.

Hope that is of some help.
