On various packs of Mullbinden I have seen strips of coloured tape, usually above the main title.
Various colours and types of tape are used. Some sort of code for size, number, date? What?
What is the purpose of the coloured tape?

In the chaos of battle, when the ground beneath your feet is a slurry of blood, puke, p**s and the entrails of friends and enemies alike, it's easy to turn to the gods for salvation. But it's soldiers who do the fighting, and soldiers who do the dying, and the gods never get their feet wet.

The strips turn a certain colour depending upon their quality. You find most are pink due to the age, so theyve become soiled, or the chemical film just reacts with the air and turns the paper a certain colour.....
