Nice, thanks for posting the new picture with the Spiess out front. Has to be an early war picture as everything looks neat and plentiful!

We wondered about the spades ourselves Neil. Couldn't agree on whether it was was Pioniere Abt, or as we could only see three spades whether it was a regular Infantry Zug issued with the long handled spades to help with digging the MG in or something.

Both useful pictures though, Comerade Viktor a show trial awaits you I think. Sorry about that.
