No I'll agree there Bryn,Ive never heard an Arnhem vetern with anything other than a attitude of respect towards their foes.
Im glad you took my question in the spirit it was meant,ie Why,was it the conscript thing,did they have a high proportion of Army officers etc?
Arnhem throws up so many questions and enigmas and there are so many books out there often with very different answers that I think it will always retain its mysteque,that and the obvious valour that was displayed by men and women from all sides that September and the following months.
