Ok, y'all

I know this question has been asked a million times, but to my knowledge has never been answered, (everyone seems protective about the zooka dimensions!), can someone please fill in the missing dimensions to the attached??

I've got a length of 61mm OD (1mm out can't be all bad) piping gathering dust

Any help would be appreciated!!

Cheers

Belly

Why not contact the Imperial War Musuem. They are more than happy to arrange a private viewing for detailed research purposes like this.

A friend of mine did it for a couple of other items he repro'ed.

Obviously you'd need to be quite specific about the designation of the item you wanted to see...

Hi Belly,

Although I can't open your document, I assume it's a drawing of a bazooka with some dimensions missing? If so, I'll have mine with me at coam that you can measure - bring your own tape measure!!

Cheers,
Glen.

The National Army Museum in Chelsea London has an M1A1 BAZOOKA the early-er converted model that was once an M1 with the fire box removed and converted to the M1A1 spec. This model has the two grips instead of the one, very common through out the war. I copied every inch and angle and even went back twice. I also have an Saving Private Ryan bazooka. what sizes do you require. No secret with me. 8)

Cheers guys!

I've not thought of the M1, that would be something different...

Revised drawing attached that hopefully should be 'openable' now

cheers

Remember of course your replica needs to be "deactivated"

Give it to Steve Vickers, John Oxlade or Ryton.

They will insert two hardened steel pins at 90 degrees to each other and weld a sub calibre ring into the muzzle end amongst other things and then submit it to a proof house for certification.

Why would you need to deactivate a non-functioning metal pipe?

It would never have been a firearm, nor ever could be......

You'd deactivate it just so you don't have the unpleasant experience of having a 100% correctly made M1A1 bazooka launch tube presented as evidence at your trial for a firearms offence... no doubt when they ask the question "does a US bazooka round fit down the tube and could it be aimed and fired" is exactly the moment when you wish it had been rendered incapable of such a task.

Just my suggestion, not a legal opinion of course...

I tried to find out about getting my bazookas certified and spoke to the proof house. They do not issue or de-act proof a replica or any replicas that have never been a firearm etc. What you need to do is weld pins or rings in your design to show (the court) that you have made the effort or have tried to make it safe just in case some plonker makes the attempt to play around with it. I tried at the proof house and they would'nt have it to certifi replicas. You don't need an expensive gun dealer to do this little job if you can build the bazooka your self. It's no real secret. Just remember building any replica cover your arse.

When building the bazooka make sure you get the breech guard right with angles and sizes, other wise it looks crap. As i have seen on many crap replicas.
