Slings for shotguns have been referenced in a least one item of official publication.

Has anyone ever seen one or a photo of a Home Guardsman using one during the war?

Question .... if you were HG, or LDV, and you had a shotgun you were utiising, would you put a sling on it for practical ease of carrying .... my point being does it really matter if it was 'authorised' or not ?
