Would like some opinions on this uniform. No tags so not sure if its a copy. Private purchase maybe? Has matching skirt, both big sizes
Regards
Phil

Thinking about it but not too sure of its value. It is a large size approx. 40" chest. Skirt waist is about 37". A couple of flaws but nothing bad. Way too big for my wife so if anyone has a smaller uniform to trade I would consider, US or UK

Hard to tell how original it is from photos. It's late pattern, but could easily be a clocked men's modern army jacket. I'd be able to tell if I saw it in the flesh (so to speak). The material is usually a give away. Vintage wool was much, much heavier than modern stuff. From 2 of the photos it looks a bit brown like the modern army gear, but then the first one doesn't, so again hard to pin down its provenance.
You could always stick it on eBay with a start price of around £50. Big sizes are always desireable so it should attract attention. I would wait until a bit nearer the start of the season though to get more interest. Your problem is not knowing whether it's genuine or not. You haven't put up any photos of the skirt. That is often the telltale.

Here`s some more pics. Tried to give clearer pic of material, I have compared to another jacket I have and this is a lighter shade and a lot thicker.
