What insignia is best for ATS attached to Intelligence corps? any recommended division etc.... i have no idea on this yet :P

I'm trying to put together a BD with the right badges.. so far I've got the ATS shoulder titles (cloth)... and a lanyard... what else do I need... as I'm trying to get it into a 2nd Subaltern.. maybe subaltern rank...and there seems to be limited info on the officers BD...

oh.. also do i need the brass ats shoulder titles... or collar dogs???....

all info gratefully received! :D

Thanks!

Deb

Hi Deb,
I've never seen the brass ats shoulder titlesint the BD, I thought they are for the SD only.
And the collar dogs for the officers SD.

http://www.army.mod.uk/intelligencecorps/role_of_the_corps.htm
The itelligence corps-site. With a page about all the primary functions.
And ofcourse
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intelligence_Corps
I could'nt find a perfect answer but if you look at all the roles they filled
Maybe it directs you to a possible division to join

Hi Deb,

99% of the females would wear Service Dress while working in the in the U.K., especially when doing a "desk-job". Battledress is more for the girls doing any kind of manual labour. So I wouldn't recommend a BD if you are determend to portray an "I-corps-girl". (sorry)

Well I'm not an expert on insignia; but I thinks it's save to say that you could wear allmost any divisional insignia that stayed in the UK.

Please read the book "A Women's War" by "Margaret Dady" (died 1984).
(1986, The Book Guild Ltd, ISBN 0.86332.182.8)
She describes (in a snobby way) that she only wanted to work with Intelligence Corps, as it was -in her words- "the better class".
Again sorry to say, I don't know the writer, but the way she is writing I don't really like her attitude.
