Comrades, Just had a chance to image the Early Great Patriotic War scale of Issue, Enjoy. ![]() The Plash palatka is fitted with the Accessaries Bag containing Two Poles, one Wooden Peg, one Wire Stake and a Guy Rope . The Greatcoat has been dismounted to show the complex of straps. ![]() Main flap open, Mess tin in cover on top. ![]() Contents of Front Pockets Vintovka Cleaning kit and some string ties for misc use. ![]() Contents of Front Pockets Soap, Toothbrush and Tooth powder boxes with a hand mirror ( home made handle for it) and Carrier. ![]() Main compartment unloaded, Wash Bag, Mess Tin Bag, Boot Cleaning Bag, Sewing Kit, Trench lantern in a bag and empty food Bags. ![]() Internal pocket unloaded, Towel, Foot cloths, Material for Hankies or if unused Collar liners. ![]() Misc empty Food Bags. ![]() Boot cleaning materials and Trench Lantern (made from a Gitlerite 20 mm cannon cartridge) and a few candles. ![]() Sewing Kit with a Nit Comb, some clothes pegs and Collar liner material. ![]() ![]() ![]() Mess tin on Cover with Cup and Spoon ( tea spoon from home), Tea inside tin in the Cup, all padded not to rattle, Paper rapped round Mess tin to control noise and mess from cooking fires, Rag for handling hot Mess Tin. ![]() Wash Bag with Carrier for Raiser, Soap, Shaving brush and Hairbrush By the way it makes a lovely little day sack for sking, which also makes it lose its Dreißig centermetre Gummi-Puppe straight from the " Bogdan" Dragon Figure's box, look as it works for a living and gets UV bleached and all scuffered. |

An instructive display, yet the pack would be light enough not to be a burden on the long march into captivity. |

More likely a trophy to you Genosse BrianB, which has been added to the Charge sheet Appendix of your Employment Record, you do see the odd image of a Pit Viper unlawfully using these in 41. Glad you liked it. ![]() |

Post subject: | The Model 1939 Back Pack as to Model 41 Norms. |
Comrades, I have taken this Model 39 scale of issue out to play several times now with the Greatcoat attached, it is one ill balanced over heavy load. Even when used in its Obr 41 layout ( as shown here) where the Plash palatka is carried in the Rucksack and the poles attached to the side Greatcoat straps, due the Mess tin/ food bags are now carried on the back of the Belt in a Obr41 Produce Bag. It is not much better, a little lighter Da,but still not a good design or layout for a Fighting Order. ![]() ![]() ![]() Obr41 Produce Bag. ![]() ![]() ![]() The Meshok is a progressive leap forward for all its nineteen century technology. The Obr 39 to 41 Family of Back packs can be seen as designed by a well meaning scientifically minded committee that would never have to use the darn thing. |

A very comprehensive and impressive complex indeed... .. however comrade, I was rather alarmed by the reference to the use of The Peoples property whilst indulging in outrageous capitalist bourgeois activities..Skiing !... expect the duty car from Lubyanka at some point very late this evening... |

Comrade, We need to ski to fight the White Finns. The last Kommendeer to miss that point was charged with losing several Field Kitchens during the First War of Finnish Aggression and was Liquidated for it. |
