M36 Suspenders (alternative pattern, early)
M36 Suspenders (late pattern, reinforced) - first seen in use in August 1944
M36 Suspenders (last pattern) - first seen in use in March 1945

Just got another pair of M44 suspenders(cannot find the other pair).
The new pair appear to have an extra sort of padded layer on the shoulders whereas im sure the others didnt-would these be a later or modified type?

That makes them M45 Suspenders then, not M44. The M45 have this added padding.

Cheers,
Glen.

I didn't bother adding them to the list at the beginning of this thread, since they were only used post-war.

Cheers,
Glen.

M36 Suspenders, last type.

Seen in limited numbers in use by the 17th Airborne in March 1945 in the Rhine Crossing, and also in Czech in April 1945 (one photo only, unit escapes me at present).

Also used post-war into Korean war.

Assuming that they're actually US marked inside of course, otherwise they could be post-war Norwegian (or is that Danish?) copies, which are unmarked but identical.

Cheers,
Glen.

Post War Norwegian - would they pass muster?
