Similar to a monsoon one but without the arm holes, does have arm straps. Dated 1956, but not military marked.

Interesting. A revision to the war-time colour as well as against the post war green rain capes.

I did wonder if it was anything to do with the WLA or Timber Corps.

Being dated 1956, it isn't WLA or Timber Corps as both were disbanded before then.

The VOCAB reference is I believe a UK Stores reference but as others have suggested it could have been for another governmental department than the WD. Also missing the parts to make it a dual use Ground Sheet Cape as with the military examples.

I have something similar stamped ATS. Isn't "Vocab" Navy?
