Evening,

I'm having difficulty figuring out the headgear worn by the 4/5 Battalion Royal Scots Fusiliers, 52nd Lowland Division in late 1944 and early 1945. I'm trying to figure out whether it was a side cap, GS cap or tam o'shanter and the insignia worn, type of badge and whether or not there was the regimental tartan backing. All the photographs I have of the 4/5 at the time show them helmeted or without headgear. I'm also confused as to helmets, some appear to be wearing the MK3 and others the MK2. The photographs I have of this unit at the time are very limited, under ten. Does anyone know where I may find more? I have the 52nd Lowland Divisional History book which contains most of the few photos I have. Attached are the images I have attributed to the 4/5 Battalion.

Best regards,
Nathan
