I'm looking for a WW2 Black Watch kilt. Is a modern Royal Regiment of Scotland kilt so different from wartime examples in terms of tartan colors (I know about the pleats...) or can it do the job? And WW1 Black Watch kilts were so different from WW2 examples? Your opinion and photos are welcome.

My 2p worth! :D

Chalk and cheese The RRS is the Officers/wo's kilt of the Argylls which although government tartan like the BW its a lighter shade, add to that its also box pleated and a lighter weight cloth so unless your going down the Argyll Officer route id say no!

There are some BW kilts on ebay at the mo, mostly small sizes max a 33 waist,
Good luck with the hunt

Andy
