There has been a discussion by a few of us here across the pond regarding some Canadian uniform items; specifically the string vest, leather jerkin and denim BD. Although we are sure that the Canadians were issued these items, none of us in our combined decades of collecting have ever come across any of the above mentioned items with Canadian manufactured markings. A Google and Bing search has been fruitless. Has anybody seen the real items or has access to any photos of these items with Canadian manufacture markings? We would appreciate any photos of these items with the markings if possible. Thank you in advance.

I've definitely seen Canadian made Leather Jerkins (look here for an example http://www.cmhslivinghistory.org/ppcli2_equip.htm ), never noticed the other bits (not that I've looked)

I've got a Canadian made leather Jerkin. They're very dark brown and the have a very dark liner.

I don't know about string vests, but Canadian Denim does exist. Only never issued outside Canada as far as sourches go. You could give it a try on the http://www.cdnmilitarycollectors.com/ i'm sure they can help you out.
