Some questions for the learned few.

Looking at the markings, there are clearly two sets, one from 43 and one from 44 indicating reuse of the box, left to right, my interpretation is as follows (looking at the overpainted 44 dated marks):

CR/C 1/44
LOT
35A

T.P

12 GRENADES HAND
NO 36 M. M K 1.
WO/DETS

46/200

However, this may be a confusion of the markings from the two different date periods.

My questions therefore.

What does the Red "T.P" stand for?
What does the Yellow "46/200" mean?

Cheers

Tim

Ps - will have a crack sometime at the rest of the stencilling - think a careful attempt at "rubbing" with a soft pencil on tracing paper may reveal this best.

Thinking futher on this, my best guess is:

Box of live grenades issued in 43

Box then reused for "Training Purposes" and filled with grenades "With Out Detanators" in 44.

Box 46 out of 200 - possibly simulating a vehicle load?
