Please can anyone help, did the B.E.F. wear a slip on with the title B.E.F on, to me why would they, they went over as regiments with what I thought would have their own shoulder titles.

Been searching but can only find them for sale :? , no mention of why they were used?, so I'm thinking their not official slip on titles.

Thank you for getting back to me Adrian, and for the link, I was going to use it in the frame I made with my Dads medals, photo, cap badge, cloth and metal titles, I will not use them now.

Kind regards.

Were the titles part of your dads collection, or were you just thinking of adding them?

I was going to buy them Bruce, and add them if they had been genuine, but now I know they are not I will not.

I wasn't sure about them when I saw them but I did buy a pair. My grandad was west riding yeomanry in france.RTR by then. I put some on when I went to a weekend just after the dunkirk film was released. The majority of people dont realise that the uniform is pre dunkirk. Just thought I would give them a go for that one event just because of the movie.

You played your part in remembrance Bruce that's the main thing, I'm thinking every thing being well, to go over for the 80th Anniversary of Dunkirk, have you been to the Dunkirk Museum yet, I did in 2012.

Well you have been a lot further than me Bruce, my Dad was with the 10th Field Regiment RA, there a large map on the wall in the museum showing the 10th Field Regiment RA at Bray Dunes.

ADDED Title on the map, "On the evening of the 1st of June", my Dad was evacuated on the 2nd.
