I am reenacting 3 RCP too. More specifically as during Operation Derry (Aug. 1944).

I do Hadfield Spears. They were honorary French Commandos! (apart from being ambuance drivers!) and all of their insignia was French.

Be very careful about loaning original items...also, please keep an eye out for :
*Still missing* Because some folks are devoid of an ounce of honesty or integrity.
Women's Navy Great Coat
Green floor length 1930s evening dress with sleeves set on net.
Blue and white rayon dress with peplum
Black velvet halter necked dress with silver shot thread skirt (may still have Harrods label in it) I have photos of all of these items and I know where they are in Scunthorpe, but would appreciate a nod if they come up for sale. [/color]

hi,
Thanks, yes my group are french reenactors but lot of prestations for the tribute of the men and women like DDAY in Normandy (pegasus bridge every year). We were with B. Millin each time. I remember... it's was a honor for us.

Our group isn't french army or resistance... but scottish unit, the 51st HD :)

I looking for a manual of the orders for drill (WWII) with weapon for to be prefect because our ordres are in english of course.

Best regards

In France there is a group of reenactors producing a series of mini films about the summer of 1940. They try to reenact the battles they portray as accurately as possible, in fact they already have a couple of DVDs out.

Here is a link, which contains English translation: http://batailledunjour.blogspot.fr/p/le ... tions.html

I relies the post is old but thought this serious piece of reenacting which seeks to make a true film about that summer would be of interest to the group.

Yes, nice pictures... I especially like the "Armée de l'Air" ones with planes.

Hi

I'm a french reenactor. My impressions : the french army in 1939/40...

And by the way, the documentaries from "Bataille d'un jour" are really great !

Paul
