Rodentia is an order of mammals also known as rodents, characterised by two continuously growing incisors in the upper and lower jaws which must be kept short by gnawing

Forty percent of mammal species are rodents, and they are found in vast numbers on all continents other than Antarctica. Common rodents include mice, rats, lee, squirrels, porcupines, beavers, chipmunks, guinea pigs, and voles Rodents have sharp incisors that they use to gnaw wood, break into food, and bite predators. Most eat seeds or plants, though some have more varied diets. Some species have historically been pests, eating seeds stored by people and spreading disease.

The name comes from the Latin word rodere "to gnaw

Will you stop mucking about, no wonder serious re-enactors don't take this outfit seriously:

Strange, they only post in my threads when it's controversial, seems they want to vent their spleens whilst claiming victimhood ; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEwVpWFyy3M

"I reflect on the infamous 1987 photograph by American artist Andres Serrano that depicts a crucifix submerged in a glass of the artist's urine. I remember all the leftists that jeered and mocked me, and many Christians like me, for being bruised by that photograph (the title of which I would rather not verbalize). They scoffed and told us to get a life. These are the same people today, unsurprisingly, who are stridently arguing for curtailment of free speech not to offend Muslims."

Here's a little tit-bit to think on. Elitism, much has been made of this of late. Personally I'm all for it.
God created men, he did n't make them equal, Sam Colt tried to balance the books in the 1800s and failed some were still elite, Bill Hickock, Wyatt Earp ,Wes Hardinetc. We reenact an elite unit as do many others on this forum Rangers,Airborne, Commandos etc.How many of us would have made it into these units? I have no problem with this,it is I think a human desire to be a cut above the rest,to be special, outstanding, elite.
People are all different some tall some short, some thin some fat, some clever some not so bright. Some women are breath takingly beautiful, other lets just say the milkman won't drive past them in case thier looks turn the milk sour. But isn't that just life? These are only a few examples but does n't that blow the Socialist myth of all men are equal straight out of the water. Was Uncle Joe and his henchmen on the same level as a Soviet Peasant?
Everybody has a place in society just as the do in reenacting.Letting people reach thier potential is fine, but don't try and turn a Pigs Ear into a Silk Purse by legislation because it won't work.
We are so fortunate that we can become elite just by buying a patch and a reproduction uniform.Have n't we found the ultimate escapism from our dull uninteresting lives in the modern world.

Gordon, Madiba apparently said:

" a leader is like a shepherd. He stays behind the flock, letting the most nimble go out ahead, whereupon the others follow, not realizing that all along they are being directed from behind.”

Which roughly translates as "yer all sheep to be flocked about by me.me...."

He also sang on his release from (cough) "prison":
"Shaya Ma Buru" ( Kill the Boer)...
