If its period 1940 shouldn't they be wearing gas mask bags on their chests, Or can't you get them for models?

Its a Tamiya kit, no gas masks came with the kit, it did mention their wearing the P37 battle dress, not the best of detail's though, has they have the mk 4 rifle, with the P1907 scabbard. the base made from a poizza base, cut twice, I ate the pizza , the fence was made from cupper stirrers 8).

I think he was trying to politely point out they weren't about in 1940. Prototypes and MkI developed 1940-1941, with the first MkII being put through trials in 1941 and first issued and used in anger in 1942.

Nice composition, though!

Thank you Rob
And the No 4 rifles with 1907 scabbard, thank you for pointing it out, that the mk11 sten was not of this era, think I will now call it now, "somewhere in France", its going into glass cabinets, with my other dio's with WW2 items & Home front items, at my local Library, for my VE display on the 5th of May, I'm hoping it will attract the children to look and ask questions.

Awesome. Nice for it to be going on display to more than just yourself, and hopefully be a point of inspiration and inquiry to others.

Hi Andrew
If I could have made it from icing and marzipan, I'd start my own business
