Hi, Just wondering, does anyone know why the Auxiliary was in Worcestershire and not any other Midland county ?, as it's quite away from the coast, (even if a German invasion force landed in the river Severn, Gloucestershire Aux units would have had the job of entertaining them) Kev

Yes, they were an oddity that far inland, but they were particularly concerned about an invasion penetration along the Severn as far as the vital industrial Midlands, cutting the country in half.
