Hi there

I am seeking a full length photograph of the Uniform worn by Norwegian Volunteer SS Nurses - or/and description of the uniform.

Can anyone help?

I have 1 pic of "lottas" in the book DIE WAFFEN SS by Herbert Walther, but there must be some more about somewhere.

Any info gladly received!

Cheers all.

The photo below is from an SS Nordland half track that was knocked out in the final hourse of the battle for Berlin. Aparrently the poor lass in the rear door was a Norwegian Frontshwester.
Warning - graphic image

Not a pleasent photo, but a good reminder of how the war in the east was so harsh.

Have a word with Franz repper on here - he knows his Lotta stuff.

That is a graphic photo. I always thought that this was a lass from the bunker staff, Gerda Christian. I must have had a duff book somewhere along the line to give me that idea as a quick check on t'internet shows that she died of cancer in 1997. I am sure that the fantastic "After the Battle" book on Berlin would have some more info on these shots. From memory though I think these were taken on Friedrich Strasse, a few hundred metres from the Bahnhof (Fantastic restaurant called "Gambrinus" is close by - if you want traditional grub in Berlin that is the place to go)
