Hi to all the MP's out there ( and anyone else reading this!). I'm after suggestions on locating a baton holder, SOF do white ones but I would like to know what would be worn in ETO when not in 'whites'. I seem to recall seeing a leather one a while back?

The "Club, Policeman, M-1944" (or M-1943) was not carried in a holder in combat dress, more usually tucked into the pistol belt, or sometimes stored in the Jacket. The leather holder only appeared post? war.

If leather is your thing, The Enlisted Mans Leather Belt (Garrison), and Leather Strap, Shoulder, Military Police, with optional Pocket Magazine, Double, Leather and Pouch First Aid Packet, Leather makes for a full kit. but you got more chance of finding rocking horse s**t.

Hope this helps

Karoshi

Yip...wot Karoshi said!

BUT

The leather 1st Aid/Dressing Pouch IS POST-WAR ONLY (thats from data supplied to me by the US Army MP Museum)

I make Garrison Belts & MP Shoulder Strap Assemblies - trying to source a certain bit of metalwork to make the leather Magazine Pouch...

Although it has been suggested that the "Baton Holder" wasn't used wartime I personally use one.

I choose to utilize it as I believe its safer to have it hanging in a tight fitting holder were no one can "GRAB IT" from you and use it easily.

Authenticity verses a reality of safety?

MIKE.
