hi Guys,
went on a dig saturday on an old US medical camp & found dozens of old bottles, some still full of "liquid"!!!
some had been burnt, but are still in good condition, but none have labels on or screw on tops, the full ones have glass stoppers in(brown glass bottles)so does anyone have any pics of bottles or website details where i could have a look.i have tried the search on here but most of the old pics have gone now.
any help would be great( i cant put up pics due to retardedness....)
cheers guys,
Al

Alright Al,

do they have quite loose glass tops? I've got lots in my medical kit, loads of labels for them too. Or are you just wanting to know what they're for?

Women's Navy Great Coat
Green floor length 1930s evening dress with sleeves set on net.
Blue and white rayon dress with peplum
Black velvet halter necked dress with silver shot thread skirt (may still have Harrods label in it) I have photos of all of these items and I know where they are in Scunthorpe, but would appreciate a nod if they come up for sale. [/color]

hi Kate,
a bit of both really.
the brown full 1's have glass stoppers in that are quite easy to take out.
the others are mostly clear glass & are a mixture of both stoppers & screw on tops by the look of it.
i wouldnt mind finding out what they are really for & maybe putting some period type labels on for display purposes as well.
thanks for the reply,
Al

Hmm, it's difficult to say without seeing some shots of them. If you can post some photographs on here, I could certainly try my best to identify them.

Cheers,
Ben.

Thanks for the shots, Al. I will look through my references and see if I can suggest the contents of each bottle. By the way, are these from the dig at the Honeybourne Medical Depot dump? I saw some of the shots from Paul B, and it looks like you guys really found some nice pieces!

Cheers,
Ben.
