im a translator brought in from Holland to do some translating for a german but thats all i know.

Ya...sorry......the uniform can be a bit of a giveaway......or perhaps it was the flatulence?

Anyway...I'm based along the coast and our Batterie Commander has sent me to get some supplies for a small party he is holding at the old Chateau.

There will be a number of high ranking officers in attendence next weekend and we need the following supplies:

20 bottles of champagne
50 bottles of red wine
50 bottles of white wine
500 cigarettes
100 cigars
5 pairs silk stocking (large sizes)
1 large garter belt (the Kommander is a size 38 )

We have been trying to find these things locally but no one wants to help us, so we thought perhaps if we employed a "translator" such as yourself you could somehow obtain these things?

Of course the black market is illegal but I have heard you have your contacts?

well sir i only have contacts in Amsterdam and I only speak german, english and dutch so I am not sure I will be of much use.
I was let to believe I was to be of assistance during some sort of meeting.
However I could translate the list you have.

This is a place where you have to lock out the real world, once you wonder inhere, you have discussions 'in character'.
So lets say there is a neutral bit in Europe, dare I say Casablanca...Ricks place...its 1942 and somehow we walked into this bar.
No matter what nationality you are, who you fight for or what your believes are.
Its quiet, you had a nice drink and there are a few people in here, sit down, ignore the piano player and start a conversation.
No modern topics, its 1942.
Just some social chit chat, roleplay, full immersion, all that lark.
Good practice for a first person full immersion event you might one day take part in.

Barman this isn't a pint. When I order a pint I want a pint not a thimbleful of gassy cats-piss youve ladelled the head off with a bloody spatula!! You wouldn't get this in Blighty thats for sure as ninepence!

What do you mean you don't pickle eggs in this country?

What the Heck's a 'Bratwurst' when it's at home?

What do I look like some damned tourist?

Take it back, I'll just have a small sweet sherry.. and not in a pooves glass, a straight one if you don't mind.

goodness this seemed like a nice quiet place, I guess I wonder off into the backroom where a little band is playing a nice tune.
Oh look a fireplace, ill sit here and have a wee whisky, away from the rough bar at the front of the building.
