Interested in a rig for a self propelled gun uniform for the HG div. Collar (what a plethora) and other insignia I'm good with but before ordering shoulder boards I want to confirm my belief that the piping would be branch rather than HG white.

Same applies for crusher as I think this would still be white despite what was on the shoulders.

Comments?

Did the Luftwaffe have a crusher?

If they did, would it have been called that as such .. ?
I have always thought the term applied specifically to the peaked caps worn by USAAF pilots ..??

The HG had "crushers" indeed I have a very fine Janke one myself and all the piping is white, also don't forget that the cuff title is on the right arm!

Allen, it’s a term used for a pre-war version of a German peaked cap too.
Like the Americans they took the wire out and ‘crushed’ it.
