I may stand to be corrected on this. But HG in Afrika wore white piping througout. In Italy, the new refitted HG wore the waffenfarbe as per army, artillery - red, infantry - white .. etc

i think type / color regulation even changed twice while still in Italy ! So you get a mix of the old and new regulations etc. HG insignia / colors are really a brain burner.

White collar patches ! So Goring-catwalk-ish....
