Has anyone ever noticed like I did today whats in the bottom right hand corner of the pic of 4 U.S soldiers (3 in camo's and one in mustards and shirt) in Normandy July 44?

Taking a wild guess, I'd say that this is the photo in question.

If so, Gliderinf is correct. Interesting modification.

If not, any chance of a link to the photo? Is it Shergar, Lord Lucan, or a UFO that we're looking for? :wink:

BUT not enough on the right hand side of the photo,its been cropped

its the thompson m1a1 with a wood foregrip screwed onto the guns existing wood work ...never seen this done before
i bet he was used to using the model 1928 and had been issued the later model..so he`s added a foregrip himself

Ah, it's an M1903 then? Wonder if it is the same guy with one in the pic of the guys in (mainly) camos with the German prisoners in the street in Domfront...?
