At the end of the year I'm buying a Class A and thought it'd be different instead if badging it as Infantry/Chairborne to badge it up as a S/Sgt Tank Cmdr of the 9th Armored.

I think I know what I'm looking at insignia wise iirc:

9th Armd DI's on Armored Garrison Cap and 2 on lapels, Armored BOS, 9t Armd SSI and S/Sgt rank.

Is that correct? Also while I won't wear medals of valour what other insignia/medal ribbons would be appropriate?

I was thinking more the 4 Pocket Tunic and around Remagen. Oh don't worry only jacket I own with dual patches is a 1969 Dated 3rd Pattern Tropical Combat Jacket. Was thinking say 6 years as I joined the army in 1939 out of being hard up and bored.

So youre portrayal would be of a S/Sgt from the 9ths original cadre when you joined ? yes..? so a 4 pocket would be correct.....rather than a later war replacement which may have had the "Ike" jacket

AM Defence...ETO campaign and Good conduct ribbons that would be all and qualification bars and any marksman badges c/w associated weapon bars would be all

NO CIB and NO dual patched jackets.....

no blingy bits like fourrageres...and NO PUC

Regards

Lloyd

Thanks Lloyd. In theory I have plenty of time to get this right.

Lloyd mentioned 'AM Defense'! - though would also have 'American Campaign?' as well as EAME? campaign as mentioned already.
