No M8's, no. Jeeps are on there (1/4-ton trucks). No Recon!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lloyd, it's a TO/E - they have the latest spec weapons on them, same as the Parachute Rifle Company one from August 44 has the M1A3 Carbine on it... and they weren't issued that at all... at least the M3A1 made it into service later on!!!

Now you're really starting to lose me...

Yes for the first one. Althought the same answer applies to a Company D of a normal Tank Battalion. It's the same T/O, apparently. Same one for Cav Recon Sqdn too.

Tank Platoons have TANKS, no jeeps. Only 2 jeeps "should" be in Company HQ, one for the CO and his radioman, one in maintenance.

Alles klar? ;)

Ok... on this pics is one of the two jeep's of the 759th http://i78.servimg.com/u/f78/13/28/61/54/image010.jpg

The 17 M5 is divided into Different Pltn if the jeep on the pics is B Co. ?

It's one of the two jeeps from B Company of the 759th... although the numbering would make you assume that it was vehicle #1 from 2nd platoon, but maybe they didn't number them like that...? It looks like the Company C/O's jeep to me, with the radio in it.

And for the answer to your second question, read the T/O!!!!!!!!!

;)

I have find this info

Light Tank Battalion (fig. 4).
This battalion is organized similarly to the standard
tank battalion except that it has only three tank companies
all of which are equipped with light tanks.

And?

That's what it says in the original T/O I posted for the Light Tank Battalion too. What's your point, Anthony?

Other than the two trailers for the jeep and the half-track missing from the Maintenance Section, it looks the same to me. Do you agree?

The jeep numbering is different compared to the platoon-type numbering we use for 82RCN. Perhaps they number the vehicles consequentially in this outfit? B1, B2, B3, etc, and the jeep works out to be the 21st vehicle? 17 M5 tanks (nos B1-B17), 1 M32 (no. B18), 1 Halftrack (no. B19), 1 GMC (no. B20), 2 jeeps (nos B21 & B22)?

And what are you asking me for? Do I look like some sort of armor junkie to you? Haha..
