armored piping, DUI is a shield with green and with horizontal triangle 5 of each top to bottom, Battalion was also authorised armored forces patch with 759 numbers on it

Yes Anthony it would have had its own recon troop....!!



[A]759th Light Tank Battalion (Light)



Activated on 1 Jun June41 1941 at Fort Knox, Kentucky, under command of Lieutenant Lt. Colonel Col. Kenneth C. Althaus. Stationed in Iceland for eleven months and finally shipped to the United Kingdom in Aug August43 1943. Landed in Normandy on 16 Jun June44 1944 and was committed attached to 2d ID. Infantry Division. From 21 Aug August44 1944 until end of the war, attached to 4th Cavalry Group. Passed through Chartres and crossed the Seine on 26 Aug August44 1944; crossed the Meuse River at Dinant and liberated Celles, Rauersim, Stavelot, and Malmedy. Entered Germany on 13 Sep September44. Ordered into the Ardennes in Dec December44. Spent early 45 1945 in defensive positions or out of the line. Reached Rhine River on 5 Mar March45 at Zons. Captured series of obscure German towns in Apr April45, ending month in Aschersleben, where began occupation duty began.

Hey Jon Thanks This is the Crest It's a PINBACK MEYER and the mottos is "PREPARED TO STRIKE"


I have see other one with no mottos and CLUTCHBACK NO HALLMARK Green White or Green and yellow but is POST War

thats the correct DI, don't forget wartime meyer ones only had one shield, two shields or 9M or 22m meyer marked are post war

.45 cal M3A1 ????? sub machine guns.....is that a T & OE from Korea then ?

best i dust off me old M3A1 then....they can be used in WW2...hooray....bayonet lugs next on carbines
