Petros - I got my info from Ezells Small Arms of the World - Essentially the FN Model 1924 is the same, just the designation changed in Greek Service, so apologies for that.

Cheers Petros:
I think the problem is our locations - in UK, the exchange rate, Dollar to Pound (2 to 1, with KD Battledress at $48.00), making it better for us to get. TBH, most kit is made in Pakistan/India now (Even Brit Combat kit is made in China.....).
Look forwards to the photos
Ian

Well most of my material is either of www.wikipedia.com but some stuff i find by looking around on google. Images can also be found on more unlikely sites like ebay, i found some..they are dotted all over the place and takes a lot of good looking around.
Regards
Rob
PS. My late grandfather was in the 8th army during the war..not sure if he fought in greece in 41 but definately fought in the greek civil war.

Hello 8) 8) :) :P

I Know that in the Past ( 3-4 years Ago) it Exist a Greek Renacting Group
who had 10-15 Members i,ve seen even Pictures of the Chaps they had doing well and was for Greek Standards very Authentic but Unfortunatly as i Know they habe been Disbanded ( Too Everyone it,s Interesting i Can send Pictures but only as PM,s Not Posted here for some Reasons). The Slogan
about" una Faca una Racca" When you see me as Example First time you think i am Italian and Historically that is not Completly False in my Ancestors (Father and Mother Line They Are Venetians -or People from Savoia but this is 500-550Years Ago I descibed that Earlier) :P :? Ok The Older People in Both Countries sayed that very often but Sympathy For Our So-Callled Cousins is Limited after 1940 remember the People in the Mediterenean live in other time-frames for the Italians the Glorious Times of Ancient Rome is 2xDays Ago in Collective mind and For the Greeks The Conquests of Alexander the Great was only a Few Minutes Earlier How about WW2 it must be Minutes or Seconds Away Eyewitness are Available who told their own Fragments of History   :?

Black Adder, thanks - feel free to pm me with the images.
I'm a bit surprised about that - I thought there would have
been more people in Greece actively involved in reenacting WWII
- I understand it is a period in their history of which the Greeks are
proud - is there not a special day commemorating this? I think
it is called "okhi" day ("no" day) where Greece refused to accept
invasion/occupation by Italian forces. Am I correct?

You are correct about "ochi" day when Priminister Mexatas say no to occupation...i have been to greece many times and it is lots of books. I would also like to see these guys. I wish greek was more widely re-enacted. It would be an intersting try for some ambitious re-enactors...i hope someone is inspired by this talk!! :)

Hey :D :D 8)

It will be a Open Wish From me that the Greeks in Greece especially the Younger Generation Stand up and Fill the Lines of Historic Correct Reenacting and Don,T let Other Foreign People told Greek,s his History . I believe that a Nation who is not Able too Defend his Rights his Heritage had no Right of a Tomorrow Other People maybe had Good Ambitious but make Failures who are excusable they are Foreigners . i Don,t want too Discourage anyone who wants too reenact Something but you must know the Pro,s and the Contra,s.

Hear, hear! I agree with Robou AND Black Adder.
Last year, at Military Odyssey, I heard that a group of reenactors had
travelled all the way from Greece to participate as
Ancient Greeks, so it can be done! Where there's a will...

Hello To all . :D :D

We will See what The Future Brings us All But I Hope Instantly that Some read This here and Become Motivated Too Reenact this. From My Point Of View they are Too Much Paras and Rangers Out here in The world .What the Reenacting Community Needs is not the 427th General.Patton or the 1247th Major Dick Winters From The Bandwagen of Brotherhood Tales .The Community needs Innovative and High Motivated Ordinary Tommys-Limeys or in a Simple American Way Grunts or Russian Soldiers From everywhere Poland-Netherlands-Belgium-Greece-Whatever .Of Course Everyone who select a Side German-Yankee-British-Indian-Mongolian must be Prepared to Give hist Bests and I repeate Again dont Take this here as Dicouragement
take a as a Chance for a Common Hobby .The Last Eyewitnesses are Dying within the next 10xYears got any Information as Possible.History is a Treasur who is Worth to be Protected .
