If you read the posts in the few previous pages you will find a lot of what you need or what it is look like.
The British WW1 SD uniform and puttees are very similar to the Greek uniform.

what would be a good starting point on the uniform? what tunic are there around that could be changed etc to look like a Greek ww2 type? im really wanted to get a ww2 Greek army reenactment group started for ages but have always given up with regards to uniform and kit etc :(

Drop me a message,
You got me in the UK, the only Greek Army reenactor;
I have all the kit including many original stuff and weapons if you want any advice and help.
You can see some of my pictures earlier in this thread.

I would not mind expanding to few more UK-based Greek soldiers, maybe this is a new unit in the making!
There is also some exciting progress with a dozen Greek fellas which frantically build up their kit
to be ready in time for the October anniversary of the Greco-Italian war.
A very knowledgable bunch with some serious looking kit!

There are also few guys that come up in the UK scene from time to time and then give up
thinking that the research and supply problems are too much to handle.

Luckily others have done the research for you, just feel free to ask
(after you go through a good read of this massive thread!)
PS:
I also have few good quality replicas (tunic and side caps) which are up
for grabs since I got a whole-authentic vintage kit now so I do not need
these. Let me know. I also have a surplus helmet (got three) which probably
will go on the well-known auction site soon to raise some desperately needed cash.

Bang me a PM mate. I'd be very interested, especially the side cap and helmet. Though I'd like to get the side cap first and save the trouble of sourcing one. Though being a student I'm not loaded. lol. But yeah, send me a PM and I'll see if we can do some business. ;)

After a year's researching, fabrications , expenses and more we finally made it just in time for the parade on 28 October the "ΟΧΙ" (ΟΗΙ) Day , the day Greece 1940 entered the WW 2 when the Italians invaded.

I love it guys! Great work! :D When I'm not a poor lowly student, I'll have to get out to Greece and meet some of you guys and see what assistance you can give me in putting this impression together!

Supremo! Congratulations.

Giorgo and rest of compatriots, you must
seriously think about booking yourselves into the Waltham Abbey WW2 weekend this spring
or Dettling Military odyssey in August.
Apart from the travel and maybe a hired car, it will not cost an arm and a leg
as you can camp for free and is close enough to all major London Airports.

I had a long hiatus looking for a new job, now all seems to be getting into
place and I can't wait for the next season. Although it will be heavily WW1
for me due to the centenary.

If any of you guys made it over to Britain, I'd put the effort in to come and see you. :) In terms of Waltham Abbey, I have a group of friends going to that anyways so I'd defo be able to make it. :)

We want very much to come there for some serious events and these look very interesting.
The lads from Mediterraneo also called us to come there , so if they attend one of them (or both) then we will have to look to this more seriously.

Let us know what events you would be doing with them and I'll see what I can do. Already getting really busy for this season at it is! -_-
