Albanian front January 1941....
The heavy winter causing casualties from frostbites and problems in supplying lines, the need for rest and completion of units fighting continuously for more than two months, led the Greek General Headquarters in the decision to suspend large-scale operations. From now on, operations will have a local character to improve positions and to send offensive reconnaissance patrols in order to maintain the aggressive spirit of the Greek Army ...

And we finally made it! We met with Stavros and the Mediterraneo at Waltham Abbey 2015!
I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship!

Hello to all Back to the Track = Greek Army 1940-41
After Years of Absence from this Forum i find wmy way back here and was Astonishing what happened in the Meantime. In the Years of Absence i could Manage too obtain From Greece 2x Uniforms who even can be wear until this Timeperiod 1940-41 But First.Pictures Speak more then 1000xWords.In Both Pictures i wear Royal Hellenic Uniform ok ok more looks like ww1 then ww2 but both was even weared until ww2 .The first one is a Royal Hellenic Gendarme ( In reality a Military better Educated NCO obtained too perform Police Duties in Rural Areas). The Second one is a Corporal of the Artillery in mod.1914 Uniform.
