Camerati,
Due to a Supply Ship reaching the North Africa Theatre unbeknown to the pesky Inglese RN or Desert Air Force, scale of Issue has been Improved to this new Norm.

Other Ranks GV Model 34 Great Coat....it has an additional slit cut into it ( Right side) to access rear pocket of GV jacket and no button tabs on the "skirt" ends, manufactured like that..... v v nice quality marked 1 ....

(Must be good as Americani e lettoni keep asking if it is for sale.. which it is not.... remember I'm a good soviet at heart.. .)

Stars from my Re-Pro Great Coat that I then sold on to Camerata Sandy Boots for Camerata Prices.

Bersaglieri Badge 7° for Casco tropicale....

Beretta Model 34 Magazine...

Model 33 Steel Helmet ( War time rivets, and strap fitthings, Post War chin strap, and Colour).... (No Image declassified as of date) Still in Moscow Centre's direction RE Research and Development Directorate ( it is in need of a paint back to the sacred.. ( hallowed heavenly music of Angels ) Grigio-Verde and be fitted with a chin strap.

Model 30 Water bottle, no cover, or water drip plug but with strap...

Will be investigating the making of a Plug and Cover if Camerata Elsan has the material.

I also recovered two post GPW Telo Tenda modello 29's to complete my four Telo tenda Italiano Tent which is a "put up and take down Complex" for use when the MOP have departed.

Ad Alessandria d'Egitto!.

Camerati, The latest supply trunk bought this down the Qattara Track to the Pavia Positions near El Taqa Plateau...

Repair work by Camerata Elsan...Modello 30 Water Bottle.

As a Water Bottle it looks a good design, it doesn't bounce, but the Strap is weak, and it rides high on the Belt so can only be worn comfortably round the Front of the Body.... the Shoulder Strap of the more normal Modello 33 is a better design.

... and with the Modello 91 Bayonet with Leather Scarbbard this is the effect,

Avanti, Pavia!.

Camerati. Excellent work on you drinking complex. One thing though. Many pictures of superior troop types direction RE original shows this complex being worn on the straps of their zaino or borsa tatica.

Camerata SuperMario,
That would make sense, on the Belt the Modello 30 it is a most uncomfortable item of Scale of Issue, it sticks into you and rides high on the belt so it cannot be easily worn on the hips or rump, the wear and tear on the thin strap is savage and is tricky to use..... the Modello 33 is much better.

I like it but sadly it will not be attached to me as much as it might have done if it was a good design.

Camerati,
As Noted in the Thread on the last Victory against Gitlerism and continued containment of Reactionary Capitalism of the Military-Industrial Complex so it withers on the vine at Felixstan during October, an important addition was added to Direction RE OoB .....

Image
Borraccia Modello 33

...for the cost of only £22 soft imperialistic Sterling currency.
The damage to the Cover is most toothsome do you not think Camerati?.

The nice period wear and tear to the cover will add greatly to the legend building of this Rezidents Combat Missions on North Africa Fronts, the mint Historical Artefact used before is now held in an Archive Echelon of War Storeage Complex "Emil".

In addition, in the spirit of free speech and freedom of thought that is ruthless enforced by Moscow Centre's Internal Matters Organ's....

At the Detling Front it was ( declassified by Moscow Centre and released to be,) reported that a battered incomplete but sound Italiano Modello 33 Borraccia was given to this Command as a thank you, though the flask was missing Strap, Cover and Drip feed cap it was held still within a Trophy Collection Regiments OoB while a Design Bureau was immediately formed with the sacred task to find a use for this trophy.... for months, day and night the greatest minds within Progressive Reconstructionism have laboured under a special twenty five hour day formula( to improve productivity..... yet another example of the advantages of a Centrally Controlled Command Society ) and this is the declassified result..

Image
Debris Borraccia Kettle, soldier made trench piece of fabrication.

A Kettle.....

Now this Complex is such that as Hero of People's if operation on a Fronts 41 to 43 that threw back the Italiano Expeditionary Forces it can be used using a Trophy for progressive use, as an Italiano in Desert 41 to 43 up holding the interests of Italiano culture or as Inglese Desert Army, a homemade bit of comfort kit made of a piece of battlefield debris which could have occurred.... it makes a useful Kettle with its own Pressure release device, boils real quickly.

( Historical Note, The SAS liked 44 Pattern Water Bottles to brew a "Wet" according to Moscow Centres Intel of their gangster methods... )

Now this is a Gag, not Issue Equipment and will be used as such, carefully crafted to suit a Deployment Back Story..... Soldiers then were as as now, flexible and creative (more so I think) as any of us to make their sometimes most unpleasant ( as for many sadly, short) life's as comfortable as they could within their control, with what tools and materials they likely had to hand.

With such a Complex I can boil my brackish water for Steel Helmet/Bayonet ground Coffee on the march to Alexandra!... Avanti Pavia!.

Camerati,
The latest ( declassified) Intel on the footwear situation at this Command since Thu Oct 15, 2009 regarding the level worth of wear and tear to its reproduction Modello 1912's.

When covered in dusty soil they look just like they have been left to wander in the desert without a truck.

It has been noted the heel studs are wearing badly, a Research Bureau has been formed to investigate the problem.

Still my most comfortable boots within the nineteen thirties/ forties Military Reconstructionist Directions I'm permitted to follow.

Camerati,
While the line is held, supplies to the Front are central, now the last supply delivery was due to be two hundred tons of Ammunition for the Artiglieria a Cavallo and sixty tons of fresh water from the El Daba well.

Instead this was delivered,

So at least now I can be smart in the line.

Many thanks Camerata Elsan. :D
