Hi citizens

Anyone know where to get a French tunic as worn by Joesph Fiennes in Enemy at the Gates.

Cheers

Rob

I've never seen one of these for sale. Even on Atlantic Crossroads.

Anyway, that's where I'd try though you'd pay top dollar for it, or Doug Drabik - again you'll pay top whack.

Failing that you could ask Alex at Front of Russia if there's a repro he can get hold of.

Best of luck, Rob - a few of our members have tried to get one for some time. As Alex has made plain, they just don't turn up, and if they did would do so in tiny pre-war sizes.
The one potential link we had in the former USSR passed on making a copy as he had no original to copy from. It's a great pity, as it's one of the smartest pieces of kit the RKKA had in the war.

Think of a Kitel but with a fall collar (like the Obr 35 pttn Gym) and pockets on the skirt of the jacket.

Espenlaub were selling some a while back, but as always with those guys one would need to sell a kidney first to afford what they were asking for it.

It sure is! The colour seems odd though - I wonder if it's a film costume one - in which case £150 is a bit dear.

The stains on the front and the fact they've said it's mothed is somewhat off-putting (again with what they're asking for it) as well.
