Hi All!

It's been a while — hope you've all been well. I'm looking for anyone with a Churchill impression who wouldn't mind being photographed, probably sometime in May/June, for a piece I'm working on. Feel free to respond here, or to write me at dani@dan.iella.net.

And as background — I'm a photographer based in London who's been documenting the WW2 reenacting community for about two years now, you can see some of my work below. Thanks so much!

Winstan is a lovely chap called Stan who works very hard as churchill and does a lot of the events in and around Surrey and hampshire. He not only looks the part, he sounds the part - and above all is one of the nicest people I've had the pleasure to meet.

http://winstan.co.uk is the website or he's also on Facebook.

Contact Winston Chartwell on Facebook.

He's worked at chartwell house a number of times, owns quite a few original mementos, looks the part and sounds it too. As far as I know he's currently the only impersonator recognised by the family.

Id love to get all the Churchill reenactors together and - at some event - just have them storm the battlefield, all with Thompsons and cigars ago-go.

Hahaha, thanks so much everyone. I know Mr. Chartwell (just realized that was you, Mr. Tait), he actually inspired all this. After poking around this is the list I've assembled:

Winston Chartwell

Stan Streather

Derek Herbert

Gerry George

Ian Beyts

But I'd love another 3-4 to add to the list — if anyone has any ideas, please let me know!
