I can't remember the file name at the moment (will get it later) but I'm the Royal Artillery gunner with my side cap at quite a funny angle... Don't think you have many gunners in there?

How can so many women get it so wrong?

Sorry Les.
Your portraits are good.
But as invited, I browsed and commented.
The hair, the hats, the specs and all those sunglasses.
So many pictures of women but hardly any look like 1940's women.

Thanks Jude. I'm quite new to these 40s events but from spending two days there I got the general impression that authenticity of costume was not quite as important as just enjoying the experience. I'm off to Pickering next week for the first time so it'll be interesting to see the difference.

You probably won't find much difference in Pickering.
Come and find me in Goathland carpark and say hello.
But don't take a photo of me please.....cos with what you do to your photos and how it enhances facial hair etc. I'll end up looking like Father Christmas.

Oh crumbs. As UtilityJude says, good photography, but how do they think some of it's 1940s?

Shame.

Tony.

Hmmmmmm I'll have a red rose in my buttonhole!

Just look for the green vintage trailer in the carpark around the back of the station.
