Took the Zeiss Ikoflex III and Leica IIIc with me to visit the IJssel line near Arnhem. Took some photos of the Cold-War defenses (Sherman V's set in concrete)

There's another project on the go at the moment; A few months back I traded a restored IIf body for a Leica IIIc-to-IIIf conversion body that had been torn down, pretty much to the last screw.
The camera was originally a 'Red Curtain' IIIc, but the curtains were long gone. And as it has already lost any 'authenticity' because it was modified to a IIIf, I'd thought I'd have it professionally painted in Luftwaffe grey and reassembled by someone in the UK.

I have decided to sell my perfect condition Argus C3. It comes with a good case and strap. It takes magnificent pictures and was my first period camera. Since I now use Kodak Autographics all the time I would rather pass it on to someone who will enjoy it. I can provide sample photographs &c&c on request and besides, I know a camera store in Denrton, Tx where I used to live that can get you all the extra fittings if needed. For your information, I bought it from a private UK vendor in 2013.

The C-3 is pretty uncommon in Europe, I'm always running into analog photographers/collectors who are looking for Argus or the Kodak 35 cameras.

And in other news,

Yes, I win the thread! ;)

Eugh.. bought another (broken) Robot II body, it's another Luftwaffen-eigentum Ballistic Shot Registration Camera for the BF-109 and FW-190. Friend was selling it for some quick funds. Unfortunately he wasn't selling the black 75mm f/3.8 Tele-Xenar lens and hood with it.

On this specimen the ratchet wheel at the top of the spring housing is missing and the blade spring that pushes the ratchet pal has broken off.
Time to get creative.

So now I'm also on the look-out for a short lens for it.
I found a Schneider 30mm f3.5 Xenagon with fixed-focus one with a broad-arrow stamp recently (but it's sold now). Are these 1950s RAF reconnaisance lenses?

One of my image hosts has exploded a few weeks back. Thus a lot of my older images in this thread aren't showing up :(
Working on transfering everying to my old website.

3rd Robot II body arrived....missing parts of the motor-drive ratchet.

Fixed it with a paperclip and a mutilated euro cent coin

And it actually works! Facebook video of shutter running

Picked up some more vintage cameras over the weekend;
  • Voigtländer Brillant (first model from the early 1930s, need to clean the shutter)
  • Agfa Trolix (Trolitan body box camera from between 1936-1940, still had film in it)
  • Kodak Retina IIa (type 150 from 1939, last of Kodak's pre-war Retinas)

Brillant and Trolix

Retina (and a Kiev88 body)

And this month my mate had to sell off another piece of his collection.

So now I have a black "Luftwaffen-Eigentum" Tele-Xenar 7.5cm f/3.8, with matching LW-marked hood.
*Squee*
