Ah, the real men are back to save us! :)

These photos were instrumental in me getting involved in all this madness in the first place! I'm now skint, I hope you're pleased with yourselves.

Faultless series of images, I could look at these all day long, so I think I will. :)

Matt

Always loved looking at Monty's Men photos.

Any likelihood of any more MM events?

Many thanks for your comments. It is high praise indeed!

Monty's Men exists as an umbrella organisation for people with the desire to portray the British Infantryman to a high standard.

Our members are drawn from many other groups and backgrounds. Be these WWII reenactors, Vehicle owners, airsofters and many are reenactors of other periods of history. Indeed many of the members only wear WWII kit for Monty's Men Events!

Monty's Men brings together this diverse group to undertake one vent per year on the actual battlefields themselves in France, Holland and Belgium.

The pictures posted above are from our last outing to Belgium in 2007. The events themselves followed a tried and tested formula involving touring the battlefields and museums themselves. This is followed by a 48 hour Living history phase. During this the unit marches out into the field, digs in and lives out their small packs while undertaking patrolling and reconnaissance of the local area. A recovery phase follows which includes a wreath laying at the nearest cemetery. The trip is finished off with a unit social.

We have suspended the trips for the last couple of years as the economic climate did not lend itself to running such trips. Planning is now underway for another Monty's Men event in the summer of 2014 centring on the battlefields of Falaise. So if you like what you see or would just like to know more please don't hesitate to get in touch.

I've seen Monty's Men pictures in the past, to be honest, they're some of the best pictures ever!
Everyone in the pictures actually look like they're from the time period, the kit is spot on, I'm guessing you used a film camera? If so what quality it adds to the pictures! You make other groups look mediocre!
Hope to see some more in the future, keep up the good work!

Awesome 8) read the title - half way through the pics I'd forgotten - thought they were real pics.
