A few picture of the very nice event at Uffheim (Alsace) France.
Meet very nice people there. Had a wonderful time as German Red Cross nurse. Got plenty of compliments for my uniform.
2 battles took place in the afternoon.
1940 Germans attack the Ligne Maginot - French troops capitulate
1944 allied troops attack the Bunker - Liberation of Alsace

The arms for the battle could be rented on place with ammo!

I may bring my tent and stuff with me for the next years event!

I have no idea where they found the uniforms .... I was there just for one day.

A very nice event with some action in form of 2 battles.

Their uniforms are far of the originals... it could be much better... => if you take a good look you'll see that one of them doesn't know how to put his putees.

hello Shaun,

The most important parts of our uniforms are originals. Some things like shoes, infantry regiment numbers on the greatcoat, putees, berets and some pouches are post-war and copies. All the greatcoats are originals. Four people wear original trousers and the others wear copies. Two soldiers of the group wear the original "modèle 1935" shirt and the original "regate" tie. The 3 insignia you will see on our uniforms are originals. Trousers copies are used only for the battle and patrols.
the cost is very, very expensive and i am very proud to wear my uniform.

I did not see you "bleuet" on the battlefields (La Ferté, fort Casso, Uffheim...) during this year. Come, live and suffer on an event first, before making critisicms.

I'm not making criticisms by pride but because I'm desapointed to see defaults in the uniform. I like perfection, even if it can't be always perfect.

The correct way to put and to keep puttes on your legs must be learned. I have worn this uniform during an entire day and I can assure you that my puttees didn't moved...

hello as de coeur,

First you should wear glasses. I am not the guy with the waving putee.
If you were in Uffheim you would have known that, and you would have really seen our uniforms.

I know how to put my putees; very well. If you ask Cedric from ARM association he will tell you that we were by him (Vougrey-Lantages) last summer and we walked 18 kms without problems. I think it was the longest march ever made with "France 40" original uniforms. We lived during two days as campagner. Eating, sleeping, patrolling like in 1940.

Second, i am like you, i want to wear an uniform without default. That's why i spent a lot of money the last two years for my original uniform. I will spent more money in order to get a very good copy as soon as possible. The copy will be used during battles, patrols and the original for the rest.

And about the picture. I don't know why this putee was waving in the wind. But sometimes s**t happens during combat action. That's why i wrote : come, fight and suffer on an event.

Did I spot the G13 of Mr Jean W among your pictures?

Looks great, with some unusual "colonial" impressions as well!!

I have nothing to say about your uniform, I haven't seen it yet, but I'd be glad to have a look on it :) I was talking about this picture :

I'm sorry to see that you've taken this way my criticism, I really didn't want to offend you, It's just that I feel terribly angry when I see something wich remains me the "7e compagnie" ; to me it's not like this that we'll give a better picture of the French poilus of 1940. Many people in France despise them because they don't know anything about the Battle of France, the reenactors must show these people that we had a beautiful army. On my opinion the first thing to do is to be very careful with the equipment.

It's a good thing that you've chosen to use a copy for the battles, I hope we'll meet this year on an event  I'll be at the A5 Bois du Four in july, if you want to join us you're welcome. The reason why I didn't come at the Immerhof, La Ferté, etc. is the distance that separates me from the Maginot Line... about 1000 kms.
