Hello,
My wife would like to buy a ww2 waaf replica uniform.
Soldier Of fortune is out of stock for standard sizes.
Do you know where we could buy it ?
Thanks,
Sorry, my english is not perfect...

If you search "ww2 waaf replica uniform" there are a number of suppliers (no idea of quality) e.g:-

Hi Frederic,

Your English is fine so don't apologise. WAAF repro uniforms are of varied quality. Soldier of Fortune being the better of the bunch. Warhorse seem to get mixed reviews. It rather depends how much you want to spend. Depending upon your wife's size there is also the option of buying a modern RAF skirt and a man's jacket. WAAF uniforms buttoned on the male side so that isn't a problem. Lots come up for sale on e-Bay. You can source WW2 buttons easily and swap them for the modern ones. If you (or your wife) are any good at sewing you can even add the fourth button hole (or just sew a button rigidly to the concealed stud fastener if your sewing prowess isn't that great). However, if your wife is short or petite this isn't a great option, because finding one to fit that isn't too long or big across the shoulders would be difficult.
Finally, if you want to splash out and get it right you could have one tailor made. I know someone who can do this from the original WAAF pattern, but it's not a cheap option. PM me though, if you're interested.

Good luck

Georgie

Avoid History Bunker. Awful.

Spend the extra -get Della Rebours to make it. Everything else is pretty much substandard.

Be very careful about loaning original items...also, please keep an eye out for :
*Still missing* Because some folks are devoid of an ounce of honesty or integrity.
Women's Navy Great Coat
Green floor length 1930s evening dress with sleeves set on net.
Blue and white rayon dress with peplum
Black velvet halter necked dress with silver shot thread skirt (may still have Harrods label in it) I have photos of all of these items and I know where they are in Scunthorpe, but would appreciate a nod if they come up for sale. [/color]

A RAF No1 jacket is OK ?
Just change buttons and add a fourth one ?
Blue RAF, fabric and buckle belt are the same as a ww2 ?
thanks ! :-)

The colour is different as is the texture of the material, you would also need to replace the buttons with Kings Crown ones and a brass belt buckle.

I agree with Miss Spitfire. Get Della to make it (I have her contact if you want it). It will set you back around £500 though, but it will be right and it will fit! She's made several uniforms for me and I've never had any complaints.
