My other half is after the denim overalls as worn by the ATS, but we're the two piece denim uniforms ever worn by the women? I came across a picture on 'blitz and peaces' that show an impression of an ATs private driver wearing the separate denim trousers and jacket.

Did this ever actually happen?

As far as I'm aware there was not a 2 piece denim suit issued to the ATS, only the one piece full body overall and the wrap/coat.

I'd say go for a set of the one piece coveralls, my wife loves them

Paul.

Two piece denim overalls had been worn before combination (one piece denim overalls) was issued.
So, I recommend you to look for one piece overalls even if it is more difficult to find some nice piece ;)
I like wearing it as well.

We have a pair of trousers to a 2 peice overalls dated 1944 so they do exist. I have never seen a jacket so they could have been worn with the wrap round jacket.

The colour photo shows them being worn with a mans denim jacket.
Is Pricess Elizabeth wearing 2 paice in this photo or is it just a 1 peice overall ?

Hope this helps.
Frank

She's a little size. I think about 5'2", 27" waist

Hi Jimmy, if she is 5''2 she'll need a size 2 (5 ft. 1 ins. to 5 ft. 3 ins. - waist 28 to 30 ins. - bust 35 to 37 ins. - hips 39 to 41 ins.).
I have got a size 2 myself and although I am about 5''9 it fits me (except for the sleeves and legs are short!).
Smaller sizes are easier to find. I'll keep my eyes out for you as well!
