I saw this in WH Smith today.

Perhaps I should send the production company a copy for reference. I might even highlight important parts for them!

I watched it , not impressed by the trailer . Capt. M just doesn't sound right too wishy washy , and when did Wilson grunt like that he had a little laugh , will I go and see it ? not sure , maybe just out of curiosity on a wet Sunday afternoon .

Probably a pointless observation here but the film seems to focus on the main characters, I wonder if there are anyvextras to make up a platoon. Despite its short comings, dads army did portray a good representation a home guard platoon and all the different sorts of men who joined, not to mention the fact that actually, their rifle drill was pretty good. Just hoping this remake doesn't focus too much on the comedy and in turn take away from the home guards memory, self sacrifice etc. Dads army put the home guard in the publics memory, this could just be a p**s take. Will have to wait and see

I watched it the other day.

Plus point was that they had done a pretty good job casting and the characters were by and large quite well played (except maybe Jones)

Minus point was that they spent so much time perfecting the cast that someone forgot to write in the comedy.... its not funny at all.

I loathed it. They shot some of it here in Beverley and you could tell from conversations with the cast that it wasn't going to be any great shakes.

The women's costuming is just s h i t

platform soled Louboutins? ffs..

Be very careful about loaning original items...also, please keep an eye out for :
*Still missing* Because some folks are devoid of an ounce of honesty or integrity.
Women's Navy Great Coat
Green floor length 1930s evening dress with sleeves set on net.
Blue and white rayon dress with peplum
Black velvet halter necked dress with silver shot thread skirt (may still have Harrods label in it) I have photos of all of these items and I know where they are in Scunthorpe, but would appreciate a nod if they come up for sale. [/color]

I didn't bother getting upset by the authenticity - the original was not good for it.

I just wanted it to be a funny, period, comedy.

Suprised they didn't chuck in a couple of blacks and a Chinese just to keep those 'Equal Opportunities' activists happy.
