I'm sorry, but I simply cannot live without Gene Hunt until 2009.

Women's Navy Great Coat
Green floor length 1930s evening dress with sleeves set on net.
Blue and white rayon dress with peplum
Black velvet halter necked dress with silver shot thread skirt (may still have Harrods label in it) I have photos of all of these items and I know where they are in Scunthorpe, but would appreciate a nod if they come up for sale. [/color]

I like it as a series but Alex Drake is no where near as strong a character as Sam Tyler.

I actually cared what happened to Sam whereas I wouldn't be gutted if she never woke up :)

I just dont think Keeley Hawes (sp) is that good an actress. shes definatley not of sims character.

Its the characters from 'mars' that make the show for me.

I like Keeley, currently re-watching Elizabeth Gaskells 'Wives and daughters' on Sky and she is a classically trained actress, I like the rapport between her and Phil Glenister (Gene Hunt) But I'm only just watching Life on Mars, so possibly enjoying it more because of that, I had no pre-conceived ideas.
Watching Life on Mars it seems like a different show altogether, I'm looking forward to Ashes to Ashes series 2. I think Alex Drakes character will develop and be more interesting.

Its getting better but watching Simm's frustration and dispair as you could hear the radio say they were losing him or hearing his girlfriend saying goodbye to him was really agonising... in contrast Hawes falling through her bed or getting a bit frosty paled in comparison.

I'm not saying shes a bad actress she's just not as engaging or convincing as John Simms.

Its really the Gene Hunt show this one with comic relief from Ray and Chris.

Audi Quatro every time, my uncle had one in the 80s and it was awesome.

Oh and really i like Webleys (have a de-ac) but find myself using a S&W M10 more often as they make a shooty version of that :)

I quite like the Cortina don't know why i just do. :D
I suppose i would have to see the Quatro doing the same turns as the cortina to change my mind. J turns 180's etc. maybe next year.

My uncle was a bit of a flash git in his youth.

He tended to have 'medium range' flash cars like the quatro... he had a lotus turbo esprit for a bit too... that was nice.
