Hi,

I've almost completed restoring a 1955 dated MkII para helmet, but the last thing I need is an example of the flat oval rubber pad that sits inside the top of the crown. (NSN 8415-99-120-6488 'PAD, HELMET, COMBAT' apparently)

Is anyone out there in re-enactor supply / helmet restoration land making examples of these? I've tried contacting Pegasus Militaria, but have yet to receive a reply.

Failing that, could anyone give me some information on their dimensions and / or what type of rubber they were made of?

Thanks,
Mark
