Hi all

I hope you don't mind me popping in for your help, I was at Malvern arms fair yesterday, and had to come home with something :D , so I bought a repro German helmet 8) , no decals at moment for it, but I'm thinking of ageing it, how would you go about doing this, and I don't mean hitting it with a sledgehammer, or shooting at it  , I did also pick up a stick grenade.

Gerwyn

Why age it?
Helmets where 'new' during the war....
Use it, don't look after it, drop it, leave it in the rain and mud, wash it, repeat...

Thank you for getting back to me LAH650, I'm not a reenactor so I will never give it the use that you guys give yours, I have 5 genuine British helmets 1 being a WW1, 4 American ones, (euro clones) done up to look like WW2, and wanted a German one, I will try your idea though and see how it go's
Regards
Gerwyn
