Hi everyone

I've managed to find a pair of MK IVB goggles but the lenses are obscured by what appears to be aging of something inside the lenses. I assume that the lenses are two pieces laminated together and the glue or something is what is aging?

Does anyone know how the lenses can be refurbished? I notice that they are held in place with tabs on the inside - I wonder if I take them out whether the pieces will come apart to allow cleaning, or if I will have to try to make reproduction lenses - my intention is to wear the goggles at re-enactor events.

The nose chamois has been folded over for many years and I am worried it will break when I put it right, so I assume I can soak it in water to soften?

lastly, the four "pads" on the inside are missing - any ideas what they were made of?

Appreciate all the advice

Phil

Have a look at www.historicflyingclothing.com
He sometimes has spares for a range of goggles.
