May seem a strange question but. Ive just got a brand new pair of repro Luftwaffe flying boots and to be honest they stand out against the rest of my kit, is there any way of making them look more worn...and more true to life? any thanks in advance..Gary

If you search "distressing leather boots" you will a number of helpful sites.

Personally I would just wear them when gardening, walking the dog and washing the car etc. Also I wouldn't worry about polishing them until they are suitable distressed.

Thanks for the tips guy, Ive taken on the advice and started wearing them about the house and when doing stuff in the garden. I dont think they will ever get to the condition of my original ones but they are of course 70+ years old and their original owner flew ME-109 and 262..but finally the rip gave out and they have been replaced.....which has in a strange way been a god send, because while ordering the new boots the wife suggested I inquired weather they did replacement zip and much to my surprise they provided me with two ri-ri zips....so in time I will get the originals fixed....so all is great in the end....many thanks again for your advice.
