Just a question to the masses . . . .

Does anyone use mannequin dummies in their display?
Why is it they are all over 6' tall?
Anyone shortened one to about 5'8" - 5'10"?
Any pointers on doing this?
I've done a search, found a few sites that look ok, just putting it out there.
I display solo (for now) as can't find anyone doing ww2 British Airbourne locally.
Trying to set up a Field Medic display also, so any pointers greatly appreciated please.

Many thanks

Paul

North West mate, Merseyside. Heard there's a group around Chester area but no joy finding it yet.
I'm in local MVT, and do some events with them, even looking for an 'airbourne' jeep for myself!

Hi again, I found a place which may suit your needs better at fulbeck near Grantham, they have a massive selection of manquins I was there 2 weeks ago and I found them on ebay. That said I went to the place and saved not only carriage but also because it was a yard sale I got off with paying VAT, the 3 I got on the day were 2 teenagers and one sitter for our museum. Good dummy hunting and now I know where to go I will get more when I can.
